What's new in Synergis Cloud Link 3.1.0

2024-07-09Last updated

Synergis™ Cloud Link 3.1.0 includes the following enhancements.

General enhancements

New portal page for storage information and cleanup
A new Storage page has been added to the Synergis Cloud Link Portal. This page displays the used and free space on the Synergis Cloud Link unit, and includes storage cleanup options.

For more information, see Cleaning up storage on the Synergis Cloud Link appliance.

Centralized log download
The new Download diagnostic logs page in the Synergis™ Appliance Portal is now the only place that you need to go to download all logs.

For more information, see Downloading support information for your Synergis Cloud Link unit.

Security enhancements

Relay attack prevention on STid readers that use the SSCP protocol
You can now prevent relay attacks on supported STid readers by enabling the system to detect delays in the RF communication exchanges between cards and readers, and reject access requests from the cards that take too long to communicate.

For information, see Configuring STid readers that use the SSCP protocol to prevent relay attacks.

DDS controller integration enhancements

New supported devices
Synergis Cloud Link 3.1.0 now supports DDS JET controllers and JET extension boards.

For more information, see Supported DDS devices in Synergis Softwire 11.5.0.

Mercury integration enhancements

Mercury triggers and procedures
Mercury triggers and procedures are comparable to event-to-actions in Security Center. You can now configure triggers and procedures from the new Mercury triggers and procedures page in the Synergis Appliance Portal to run rules directly on a Mercury controller.

For more information, see About Mercury triggers and procedures.

Updated Mercury controller settings
The following settings were updated on the Mercury controller settings page in the Synergis Appliance Portal:
Door settings - Live 'Request to exit' events
This setting is now enabled by default.
Door settings - Receive duress events when duress is disabled
With the new Receive duress events when duress is disabled setting, you can cause the Access denied: Invalid PIN and Duress PIN entered events to both be generated in Security Center if someone enters a duress PIN when the Duress PIN setting in Config Tool is disabled.
Advanced settings - Magstripe support
With the new Receive duress events when duress is disabled setting, you can configure up to eight Wiegand card formats per Mercury controller. For each of the eight Wiegand card formats, corresponding magstripe card formats are automatically created. When the setting is disabled, each Mercury controller can support up to 16 Wiegand card formats, and no corresponding magstripe card formats are automatically created.
Database layout settings - Maximum PIN length
The maximum PIN length is now configured through the Default maximum PIN length and Custom maximum PIN length settings. Default maximum PIN length is selected by default. The default value for all database layouts is 6. To change this value, select Custom maximum PIN length, and then enter the new value in the Maximum PIN length field.
PIN settings
The Add leading zeros for PINs setting was renamed to Include and add leading zeros for PINs and the Leading zeros setting was renamed to PIN length after adding leading zeros.
Door behavior for offline SIOs - Facility code
With the new Facility code setting, you can configure access to only be granted to credentials with specific card formats and facility codes or with specific raw card formats when the SIO board loses connection with the Mercury controller.

Synergis IX integration enhancements

Simplified unit replacement
You can now use the Synergis Appliance Portal to schedule automatic backups of all the Synergis™ IX controllers under a Synergis Cloud Link unit to easily restore the backup to a different unit.

For information, see Replacing Synergis IX controllers using the Synergis Appliance Portal.
